And so I catch many beautiful browns this day, but most oft them are rather small. Below almost every overhanging tree or bush comes a bite&#8230;. this area of the little streams really looks promising, there must be big browns somewhere! But so far, during many years, I haven&#8217;t caught a big one here. A rusty horseshoe on the bank could be a good sign, and although I am not superstitious usually, I still hope that it could mean something&#8230; at least the kids will like it, and so I put it in my backpack.<\/p>\n<p>And then sometimes it happens, that for some unknown reason, you keep casting in a spot&#8230; although you have caught a few small ones already and although in most cases, you would go on walking to the next spot.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2860\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2860\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/troutfishing-germany.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/P1130253.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[2857]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2860 size-thumbnail\" src=\"http:\/\/troutfishing-germany.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/P1130253-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"http:\/\/troutfishing-germany.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/P1130253-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/troutfishing-germany.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/P1130253-400x400.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2860\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Black dots, silver, red an gold &#8211; what a beauty!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>But you cast, and you cast&#8230; and suddenly there is THE BITE you have been waiting for. It feels almost like hooking a tree&#8230; a force to which the 5wt rod bends to a half circle. A wild and strong brown, the queen of the stream, a wonderful fish.<\/p>\n<p>After a few minutes I manage to navigate it into my net, and I measure it: 55cm!
