Its body is made of foam, which makes it almost unsinkable&#8230; and it catches fish! I caught some of my biggest dryfly browns on this pattern.<\/p>\n<p>Here is what you need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hook Partridge Klinkhamer #12<\/li>\n<li>Thread: Unithread 6\/0 brown<\/li>\n<li>Body: foam white in 2mm (better is 1mm!), yellow and brown markers<\/li>\n<li>Tail: spinner tails natural grizzly<\/li>\n<li>Wing: deerhair<\/li>\n<li>Parachute hackle: Rooster saddle olive<\/li>\n<li>Thorax: SLF Squirrel Spikey Dubbing brown<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>First you need to tie a foam body, as has been used in a great variety of flies, from grasshoppers, to longlegs and also for mayflies. See for example here <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flies-stepbystep.com\/en_extended-body-mayfly,800.html\">click.<\/a> I use white foam, as our mayflies here are rather light in color.
