This pattern, devolopped by Hans Van Klinken, is another one of those patterns that work under almost every condition! Its body lies deep in the water, and this seems to attract even the most wary fish. I exchanged the original white wing for an orange one, as orange is highly visible also in the dim light of an evening hatch.
The Klinkhamer Special is among my absolute favorites, and together with the CDC Deerhair Dun always has a place in my fly box!
