In the past, an approaching high-water has often produced some very good fishing. But today it was different: Attacks to the streamer were aggressive but often missed, fish were not in a feeding mode… I changed spots to a more gentle flowing part of the river, and was rewarded! A very nicely spotted big brown took an olive woolly bugger.
